Lakewood Junior Baseball Association - Lakewood, Colorado

Tournament Information

2007 King Lyles 14AA Champions, Lakewood Tigers

The Carrie King/Troy Lyles Memorial Tournament will be held April 24-26, 2009. The tournament is open to Division AAA and AA teams, ages 10 through 14 years old. All profits go to a scholarship fund for athletes at Lakewood High School or former Lakewood Junior Baseball players.

Troy and Carrie died in a single car accident in August 2002. LJBA has attempted to honor these two incredible people with a special tournament. High school and college students announce the games, manicure the fields, sell concessions, and act as good will ambassadors. The Gold Crown Foundation has generously allowed us to use All Star Park for the 14-year old champonship games. The students have music, trivia contests, prize giveways, and crowd sing-a-longs. Many of us at LJBA knew Carrie and Troy. Our goal is to create a tournament experience second to no other tournament. We hope to see you this year!
