REGISTRATION PROCESS
- Online registration for ages 5-8 is now available for those of you that wish to pay by credit card. Online registration has closed for ages 9-14. Please attend tryouts if you have not already registered.
- If you do not wish to register online, print and complete the PDF registration form (Level III has a different form, but can register online as well). Seven year olds can specify either t-ball or coach pitch preferences.
- Enclose a copy of your birth certificate.
- Write a check to Lakewood Junior Baseball for the registration fee, or for the registration fee plus fund raising fee.
- Mail the form, check, and birth certificate by January 31, 2010 (age 9-14), March 9, 2010 (Level III) or March 31, 2010 (age 5-8) to:

Welcome to Lakewood Junior Baseball and the 2010 season. Lakewood Junior Baseball Association participates in the Jefferson County Junior Baseball League, JCJBL.
Team tryouts for all players ages 9-14 are scheduled for:
Saturday, February 6, 2010
Morse Park, 20th and Carr Street
Ages: 9, 11, and 13
Check in 8:30 a.m.
Tryouts 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Ages: 10, 12 and 14
Check in at 12:30 p.m.
Tryouts 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Each player will be contacted and placed on a team within 48 hours after the completion of tryouts.

Rain date: February 13th same location and times, or at Slammers in the event of inclement weather.
The regular season will consist of 18 games from roughly April through July.
Registration fees for 2010 are $165.00 and include a baseball cap, socks and use of a league jersey to be returned at the end of the season. Each player must provide their own baseball pants, glove, and cleats.
In addition, all players must participate in a league fundraiser or make a $35.00 donation to LJBA in lieu of the fundraiser.
Information for Parents
Every player age 9-14 must attend tryouts with the appropriate age group to be included in the team selection process.
Player's "baseball age" is their age on April 30, 2010.
Any player trying to "play up" should try out with both age groups to protect a fallback position.
There are no tryouts for T-ball and Coach Pitch teams. Players are divided up and assigned to teams – 5 and 6-year olds play T-ball, 7 and 8-year olds play Coach Pitch.
Players/parents may request a specific coach by writing in the special request section of the registration form. Requests will be considered but are not a guarantee of placement.
Ages 10 thru 14 must try out and should indicate whether they are trying out for a higher-level team or desire to return to their 2008 team.
Tee-Ball and Coach Pitch Kids, Ages 5-8
T-Ball and Coach Pitch teams will play approximately 8 games in a May – June season. Players will learn the fundamentals of the game and be prepared to take the next steps in our competitive program.
Registration fees for the season are $90.00 and include a LJBA game shirt, baseball hat, and socks. Each player will provide their own baseball pants, glove, and appropriate shoes.
Fundraiser is included in the t-ball/ coach pitch fee for 2010.
