Coaching Code of Ethics

  1. Remember that this baseball league and the games are for the children and not the adults.
  2. Set a positive environment by emphasizing sportsmanship, ethical behavior, skill development, and team play.
  3. Refuse to ridicule or belittle any player, opponent, umpire, scorekeeper or any official associated with the game.
  4. Display honor and respect for the game. Exhibit appropriate self-control, accepting adverse rulings and decisions.
  5. Organize challenging practices which emphasize baseball fundamentals, skill development, sportsmanship and fun.
  6. Learn the rules and regulations as set forth by JCJBL for your individual age and level.
  7. Maintain an open line of communication with players, parents and LJBA officials.
  8. Be consistent, honest and fair with all players.
  9. Represent your community and LJBA with the highest standard of integrity.
